ABOUT
A Piece of Oak Ridge's History, Ready for Its Next Chapter
Built in 1909, this house has watched Oak Ridge grow up around it. Its colonial pillars and classic facade have greeted residents traveling one of our town's two major highways for well over a century — a landmark most of us have driven past a thousand times without ever stepping inside.
Now, freshly restored, it has a chance to become something new: a place where neighbors actually gather. Our vision is to turn this historic home into a coffee shop, a small yoga studio, and shared office space — a spot to grab a cup of coffee, take a morning class, or run a small business, all in a building that already belongs to this town.
What's Inside
The first floor will be a full coffee shop with both indoor and outdoor seating, along with locally made gifts and art available for purchase throughout the space. The second floor will offer office space for rent, giving local professionals and small businesses room to grow right here in Oak Ridge. On the third floor, the open floor plan, tall windows, and exposed beams create a natural home for a small yoga studio.
Why This Matters for Oak Ridge
Beyond preserving a building that's part of our town's character, this project means new jobs, new gathering space, and new services that keep more of our everyday spending right here in town. It's a chance to bring exceptional products and experiences to Oak Ridge while giving this 1909 house a purpose for the next hundred years.
